Cooper's Home!

After serving a 2 year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of later-day Saints, Cooper is home! We were fortunate enough to be here to meet him at the air port.

I didn't get great pictures because of the excitement going on.

This is at the airport with Cooper, Tucker, Shelly and Grandpa

I was surprised Cooper didn't take his baby blanket on his mission, but it was one of the first thing he looked for when he got home.

Three of the boys fondly sniffing their blankets

More from Arkansas

We've spent a couple of days sight seeing with just Evie

You can tell by her grin, she often wants to go in a different direction than we do

This is at Pea Ridge, a civil war military site

Bentonville Arkansas

We're at John's in Arkansas visiting and getting ready for Griffith's Baptism. Gabe is getting very good at the piano

Jenni isn't really getting ready to his Connor. Good picture of Connor, not so good of Jenni

Griffith having after school snacks

Jake lives in Arkansas now and he's just getting ready to go work out before going to work. Wow I just noticed Lauren in the background. Pretty good action picture hu!

Jake again. He's going to NW Arkansas community college, working at Papa Murphy's and at PF Chang's. He's tired and never home but he's hanging in there. I'm very proud of him even though there have been a few bumps on the way.

Guess Where we were this week end

John & Jenni called and were going to Lynn Nelson's 70th Birthday, all the kids showed up and surprised her at the temple. This is cute little Evie getting ready to dog pile on her cousins. You can tell she has lots of brothers.

John with Josh Thompson, Kathryn's husband, and son

Jenni Joan, Jessica, Chantel, Jenni, Evie and Matt

Kathryn, Jessie Matt and Lynn, Bob was around somewhere

Love this picture! Tatum Cottam, Isa Thompson, Elle Nelson. There were many cute photo ops of Evie Hatch, Ivy Cottom, and Mimmi Thompson, they are all about 1 1/2 but you have to be quick and not take time to socialize. Les did a pretty good job though

Keeping Busy

It was a beautiful day so we decided to go ATVing to our favorite place

It's quite a job getting ready, I guess, you don't see me out there!

Pilots Peak is a beautiful area. It's the highest mountain so you look down on all the other mountains from here. The bathroom facilities aren't great. No door on the porta-potty and it's strictly bring your own tp!

But the view from the restroom is beautiful and quite restful!

Pilot's Peak is actually a ranger station for fires and a satalite station for the media also. We sit on the cement patio you see out front and eat our lunch and enjoy the beautiful view. The trail is getting quite bad but it's worth the view! I will miss this about Idaho.

Hatch Family Reunion at Zion's Ponderosa Resort

We decided it was time to have our first official family reunion. Lindsay lined everything up. It was quite pricey but really worth it, and we all just paid parts at a time. This place had 7 bedrooms, a loft full of bunk beds, a top and bottom family room and large patio's on each floor.

The greatest part was that the kitchen was separated from the living quarters by a large covered eating area. We all hung out there and the rest stayed clean! The weather was in the hi 80's and low 90's. Everyone got a long great and stayed busy.

Besides balloons and shooting, they had 2 beautiful pools with slides, a ranch house with pool tables shuffle board etc. It cost more for zip lines, Rapelling wall, some of the mom's had massages, so there was plenty to do. Each night there was entertainment, like movies under the stars. The favorite was the barn dance. Everyone joined in, they had a leader for the line dance. The favorite was when she showed everyone the dance steps to thriller.

One of our favorite things was family night, we all got letters and things together for Cooper Trost who is on a mission and was just made AP

Being together was wonderful and a great times for cousins to get to know each other again.
I miss them all! We have great kids and you never know what a good job you do until you see what great parents they are!
