Still waiting for baby Bishop

Averi dressed and waiting for her new baby brother. She wants to make sure he'll knows she is the princess of the house, so he will know his place.
He's still not here even though she used her magic wand.
Owen on the other hand needed to rest while waiting, and thought the baby bathtub would be the most comfortable place to sleep. Not sure I agree with him.
However he did get under the crib, pull everything out for the baby and tried them out. So I guess he knows what works best. Waiting is not easy.

President Hinkley

We just got the news that president Hinkley, passed away today January 27, 2008 at around 7pm. What a great prophet and we were fortunate to have him as our prophet for so long. He was the 15th president and was president for about 13 years. He died at the age of 97.

My next post should be from California. I leave Jan. 24, to be with Stacey when she has her baby. We are all excited waiting for that cute little boy.

more odds and ends

Jaida and Brodey Klinger waiting for Christmas. They said they've been good all year and they do look pretty innocent.

Cheryl riding her ATV. I love riding in the canyons, there is so much to see that you wouldn't see in a car and much easier than walking. There are about 20 of us that ride together. We usually go for the day, stop to eat and visit along the way. I never thought I would like doing something like this but it is great fun!

Odds and ends

Picture 1:
Sunny afternoon drive.. Hunter Hatch takes his cousin Averi Bishop on a little cruise around the ranch. One of Averi's favorite places to be is uncle Josh's. They have horses, chickens, rabbits, you name it, and lots of cousins. Good thing Hunter is such a great driver and Averi is so trusting.

Picture 2:
Proud father's
Mark Jolley and baby Ashlyn are in the middle. His brother Sam, in striped shirt, and baby Cash,(2 days older) ,and his brother Will and baby Joseph (2 months older)
Picture taken minutes after Ashlyn was born.

Picture 3:
Griffith Hatch in Arkansas. Yes they do get snow. The weather is about like Boise, warm in the summer and a few snow showers in the fall. This was taken last winter, but I thought it was so cute.

Rexburg Idaho Temple

Beautiful building, much larger than I thought. It looks like it's 3 stories. We had intended to go through, but it was cold and windy and a long line, and we wanted to be home before dark.

Lauren at BYU Idaho

Lauren in her living room, she's as cute as ever. There are 3 bedrooms with 2 in each room, and they share this living area.

Lauren in her Bedroom

Her living room, bare bones, but I'm sure she will put her flair in it.

Where she is staying, It just felt good to see where she lives.

Lunch with grandma and grandpa , so good to see her again.

Elder Trost

Whitnie said at the MTC, there have been requests for sending 16 yr olds on missions for 2 reasons. First of all they already know everything. Second their mothers are ready to let them leave.

Stacey and Adam Bishop, Coopers Aunt and Uncle came from CA to tell Cooper goodby, He stayed with them and worked at the bakery for the last 6 months before his mission. Stacey is due in 3 weeks, but seems to feel great.

Cooper as he was getting into the car to go to the MTC

Cooper looks great and seems very prepared to go

Mark giving Cooper a few last minute tips

We're mighty proud grandparents. Whitnie and Randy have done a great job.
P.S. All our teen-age grandson's seem to have grown a bit taller than us.

Trouble in Arkansas

John and Jenni woke up at 2:30 this morning to the sound of this tree falling on their side stairs

They gathered all their children in their bedroom as they heard other trees on their property fall
Several times through the night they heard the tornado sirens, but when they checked in the neighborhood, no one was hurt. This damage is all from John's yard.

As you can see their house is still standing. One neighbor had a tree fall on the roof, another fell through the house splitting it in half. All of John's family are fine and their was just damage to the property, not the house. I'm sure lots of prayers were being said.

Snow Fun in Utah!

We are in Utah visiting Mark and Molly and having fun with our grandkids from California who never see snow.Owen is not quite sure the effort of getting ready for snow will be worth it.
Finally ready!!
Averi always feels like a princess no matter what her outfit looks like

Mark took the kids on a ride. Owen looks like he's having a blast but really he's terrified.
Stacey and Molly sadly attempted to build a snowman to appease the kids. They weren't impressed.
